• Nuwara Eliya Golf Club
The course was established in the year 1891, and built by stationed British soldiers. Nuwara Eliya Golf Club is an 18 holes / 72 par / 5520 Meters layout. The town of of Nuwara Eliya, known as – Nureliya is situated at an altitude of about 2000 meters, the golf club is at a distance of 3 hours’ drive from Kandy and 5 hours’ drive from Colombo.

The Club is laden with colonial character and the course is unique in its own way, with a railway line running through it. The water bodies and trees, warrant straight and long hitting for a low score.
Interestingly, to go with the water bodies, water-boys also abound, who will at least be able to retrieve the wet golf ball for a little cash. Too bad as they can’t retrieve your stroke.
